The best Battle Mixer?

What up, im looking to get a new battle mixer the fader is starting to go on my Stanton SK-2F. It sucks cause i liked this mixer, and stanton is kind of garbage now.
what to get now?

uh i don't think this is really the right section for this, but here ya go:

vestax pmc-07

to be honest, in this day and age the vestaxes, with the exception of the pmc08 pro, really isn't worth it.
the fader feel is okay, but the knobs are horrible and the cut in sucks when compared to competition. plus the sound is crap and they distort EASY.
the 07 was a good buy eight years ago, but that was...eh...eight years ago.

Instead you should buy the allen and heath xone:02, it's a 07 for the 21st century. Great crossfader (PnG), super sharp cut in, great cut lag, WONDERFUL sound and if you don't like the A&H fadercaps you can always put some vestax or stanton fadercaps on the faders as these caps fit on 4mm faderstems.
the mixer also has a fx-loop that sends post-fader. it doesn't have a dry/wet control, but the signal is 100% wet which you'd probably use anyway.
if you don't like png faders, you can easily upgrade to the pro-x-fader as it is compatible with it and is def a worthy upgrade.


Rane TTm56 (the king of battlemixers. but the linefader curves could've been better.)
Allen and Heath Xone:02 (with or without pro-x-fade...QUALITY all the way)
Ecler Hak 380 / 360 (great faders and great a cut-lag adjustment)
Stanton Sa5 (quality-mixer!)
Numark DXMpro (quality mixer with quality faders)

the vestax 08 still has some bugs, so i don't know if i'll recommend that yet.

you could also try the pioneer djm- 707. Great curve control.

before you buy a new mixer, check this out:
I copped a SK2F like 5 years ago and this fukkin focus fader broke down on me every few months... I think I bought 3 or 4 until I got really mad and I tried to fix it myself. I took the fader out of the mixer, opened the metal chassis and put some grease on the bolts the fader slides on. put it back in...and that's it! I've had the same fader for 3 or 4 years now with no problems!

As for ur prob.. i know exactly what u mean about sk 2f, those focus faders have a design fault which causes the rails to twist and the fader to stick / get caught... same happened with mine and some of my boys mixers... I since actually got my fader fixed (because its digital theres no contacts to wear out and is possible to fix the rails)... but at the moment im runnin a standard alp fader untill i get round to puttin the focus fader back in (although im lookin to get a pro x fade)

Why not just get a pro x fade and put that in ur mixer? would fix ur problem and then some..

I like the vestax 08, I dont own one but used it a number of times, never had any buggs and i love the fader. TTM56 is kind of a standard I dont know if its the best but you cant really go wrong with one. I'd love to try a xone battle mixer as i've only used there club mixer.

Have you used/owned one? How is the smoothness of the CF, compared to say a Vestax PCV fader? I only tried one out once at a store, and I found it to be quite stiff, hard to imagine using that for performance cutting. But it wasn't a PnG fader either...
