It's fine if you know how to use it.
Different techinques and different opinions :)

Very useful feature, but when you go with the multicard reader to your 2kxl, it goes far behind the software. Well, of course if you can afford some audiable imperfections and some mooore time for machine to process data, you won't need to use software.

this wont answer ur question but i would like to say this : If you pay more than 600-700 dollars for a 2000xl, whether its new or used, ur gonna end up being really pissed like me.

What's wrong with your machine ? It's a good place to share your pains and find possible answers for (sometimes) simple issues.

why? not feeling the 2000xl? i been using one at school and i love the sequencer. before this i'd only used the 1k and and the 2500....for me the sequencer felt way better on the 2000xl than the 1k and even the 2500.

It depends...if you want long sample to be processed quicker (much quicker), then I suggest you try with software.
In my opinion, computer programs can give more clear timestretching without unwanted audiable changes. But despite of this fact, I still sometimes preffer to stretch it in the machine, of course if it's not longer than say...2 bar loop.
