I have the new OS and it seems that the midi doesn't work properly.

I cant assign a midi channel for individual tracks on the mpc with my DAW. It just plays all the midi channels Thru channel 1.

Also The Sync out (master) doen't work. I cant control my DAW with the MPC. I'Ve tried everything and it just don't work.

DOes anybody have this problem?

If no please help

Peace

nah. my works perfect. wat daw r u using. its alittle fiddley at first. i use ableton synths and sequence in my mpc. this is my method. so the midi out A of the mpc goes into midi in of my sound card. the midi in 1 of the mpc goes into my oxygen 8 keyboard that is also connected to the pc. on the mpc, make sure u hav midi selected on the track, and also change the channel to the corresponding midi channel u want to control on ur daw. i.e if a synth is on channel 1, make sure u change the midi channel (bottom right of jj os main screen) to channel 1 on the mpc. 'pc' is program change, so that will change what preset is on ur synth. one thing it might b is that u need to make sure the channel is selected on ur daw too, and for ableton, u need to make sure u select the option 'in' for monitor as opposed to 'auto'. this would possible b why all ur tacks r played thru just the first channel. u might need to press some sort of 'external hardware' button within the daw to make the mpc act as the master. on ableton their is a button called 'ext' that switches to the external hardware. u need the settings in ur mpc midi/sync page to b the same in ur daw's midi/sync page too.

exactly how to do it right there... after going thru everything i had access to so far, ableton has become my choice for syncing everything together and mixing in one spot :) finally got my new JJ OS password... it makes this mpc1000 simply brilliant!

For the sync problem I actually solved it (I'm stupid it was very easy). But I still have the same problem with the midi channels and the mpc.
I have Nuendo (master sequencer) and I assign each midi tracks to each tracks on 1 sequence on the mpc. Ex.: Midi channel 1 to track 1 (1A) on the mpc, Midi channel 2 to track 2 (2A) etc... right? Wrong It does'nt work. Even if I change the channels (1-16) in the DAW, they all play the track that is showing on screen of the mpc. The track that I want to play needs to be showing on the screen of the mpc. It cant play all the different tracks simultaniously.

I use a yamaha s90 as my main keyboard and its connected to the midi of my steinberg midex 8 card. Actually All my midi stuff are on separte midi channels on the midex (8in/outs) and I just select with my DAW the device (midi output) I want to control with the keyboard. My keyboard does'nt have the problem of the mpc. I can choose an instrument for each midi tracks.

littlerob you seem to be very well informed when it comes to midi can you please help

Not to be a bother, but do you have your soft thru on "As Track"? If so, the mpc woll only play the selected track in the display if you are working with a different track in your DAW. If you switch it to Omni A, B or AB, all tracks will play thru.

I go back & forth between Omni & As Track, depending on what I'm doing. It's a simple feature to adjust when needed.
