3000 files on a 2500?

Yo...

so i'm in the process of moving between a 3000 an onto a 2500...

I can transfer my .pgm and .all files onto my computer (using MPC Editor) and then USB these to the 2500....But do you know if i can save my .All (sequence and song) files in a way that can be read on the 2500?????

I don't think so. At the very most it can read 3000 SND files. Look in the 2500 manual at the specs in the end, what they say about compatibility with other samplers.

yeh i know, only snd when done via a computer... was hoping that there may be some software or a way to save a 3000 seq file as a midi file or something that could be read by the 2500....

Yeah, but for example:
The Manual says it reads S5000/S6000 files only through a computer.
But my 2500 reads CD-Roms in that format without any comp.
(simple through the internal cd-drive)

^^^^ ...are your s5000/6000 cds in akai format or are they just samples in wave 44.1/16bit? if they are wave then it is normal for the mpc to recognize them.

I don't have a 3k or a 2500, but the things I would experiment are:

Save 3k seq to midi file and load into a 2500.
3k pgm files loaded into 2500.

Yeah you were right
I checked em, they are in AKAI S5000 format but they also have done WAV files of the samples on em

If your 2500 will read 2000xl files...use MPC editor and convert them from 3000 to 2000xl and your All files save all of them seperatly as seq files and load them up!
