Read up on MIDI cause you are asking a big question. You can find answers on the internet everywhere about what midi does, how it works and how it can make life easier/harder depending on how much you learn from what you read and experimentation with it. You have ALL the tools you'll need to make hits. You actually can make hits with less gear than you have but that's up to you. More gear doesn't make you a star, creativity with what you have makes you a star. You got the goods already. Learn u some MIDI and go hard at it. Experimentation is the best teacher. You can sit all day and wait for us to answer but you will ONLY know a function until you get up and do it, mess it up and try again.
Happy beat makin.

My best advice, do homework on ALL your gear, what it can/can't do. Put that knowledge into your process when making music and you'll be fine after some mistakes and ufck ups.

I would say use yur MPC 1000 as yur center piece and have the Triton LE hook up to the 1k thru midi wit the xp sound module! Then u can use the software programs for many other thingz! That's b/c I LOVE hardware but if u perfer usin software as yur main seq then u can go a different route mos def! U have more then enough equipment for a newbie mos def playa! 8)

~ U have nice setup for a newbie! Yuor blessed if u asked me!
