just wanted to know anyone from thr houston area want to work together on mpc 2500

i live in houston and have 2500

would def. like to get some help using the 2500...new to the machine and cant figure the midi out at all

What part of Houston ya'll stay. I stay off FM 1960 I-45. The 2500 is easy once you figure it out though.

I live on the NW - by northwest mall

After playing with it for a week now i finally got the Midi down - i hooked the 2500 to the fantom and everything into digi 002, with monitors going out of the 002 and can hear everything and get midi and drum tracks to play at the same time...i just un-hooked everything and UNistalled all the software (pro-tools) and REinstalled everything one at a time and it worked

i'm willing to pay a reasonable price for someone to give me lessons on all the ins and outs of the mpc 2500 plus recording into tracking software and how to use midi. i want to know how to use a small home studio to its full potential.

ok, so nobody wants to teach. how about recomending some good books or other sourcers that will teach me what i wan to learn.

Try to just actually sit down and read the manual. It's pretty straight forward. Not to be condescending in any way but MPC's are not the most difficult machine's in the world. They do a couple things and they do it well. I actually just sold my 2500, but still have my 2kXL, but they're all practically the same machine and do the same basic functions.

it's not so much the MPC I'm having trouble with, but the other things that come with recording your music. I have no idea how to use my tracking software and i have no manual (even if I did, I don't understand most of the terms) I want to know about compression, EQ, and all those other basic things. I want to know how to run a small home studio! how to treat the room for recording vocals. Basically I want to know how to put my ideas on a freakin' CD. I'm frustrated, I need the knowledge maaaannn. . . somebody enlighten me. I need someone or something to explain things to me like I don't know anything, cause guess what? I don't know jack.
