What exactly do you want to do?

You can copy a Track to another Track, then change the Program assigned to it. Is that what you want?

after i record my kicks, hats, snare and claps in program 1, i want to chop a new sample and slice it up but then i'm asked to to start another program for my new sliced sample which i turn the dial to yes (now i've got 2 programs). how do i record my chops and place what i recorded from program 2 into program 1 with my kicks, hats, snare ect. or am i misunderstanding something? after i record my chops in programs 2 i go to trim and i can't find the the sample i just recorded so i can place it in program 1 as another track. what am i doing wrong. thanks in advance

Yes, I think he doesn't know the difference between sequence, track and program...

First off, I suggest you go reading your manual in detail on this again.

But basically, a sequence can be made up of several Tracks...just like in a multitrack recorder, playing in parallel to create your beat.

Each Track has to be assigned a Program, think of it as the instrument. You can switch Programs between tracks as you like. But what you record in your sequencer is linked to the track only - not to the program.

So you do not record anything into your Program, as you stated. You only record into tracks. Hope that helps.

you sliced your sample then go to mode+program -choose prgm 1 -assign the slices manually to pads (if your drums are allready recorded).... or use your prgm 2 and assign your drums to free pads. i suppose you wanna do that to play drums and sample at same time.
