Hey guys I just got my mpc 2500 in the mail with no manual so i need some help. I was wondering if I can load my samples directly from My computer into my MPC 2500 HD. I tried yesterday But my computer did'nt read the MPC HD from the USB. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Is the HD installed correctly? Go to the load screen and see if the MPC can read the HD

Also go on the akaipro website to dl a pdf manual since you dont have one

Dude, Click on Mode and Pad 2 (Load) - I think its pad 2!

Select the USB option, make sure the computer is connected via usb...The MPC will be displayed on your pc now

...manuals are here: http://www.akaipro.com/support.php
also check your os version and the addendums to the manual...
the computer wil only see one device at a time! it´s either the hdd or the cf card, depending whats set to save/load in the mpc. this is due to hardware limitations of the mpc.

I may be wrong, but I thought that the USB allows you to only see the MPC's flashmemory card and not the internal harddrive. I might be wrong, but I've always copied between my computer and the flashdrive. Never my computer and the MPC internal drive that I installed. Again, I may be wrong because the internal drive is just a hard drive and I guess it should be recognizable by the computer. UNLESS, the Akai OS only allows the USB circuits to see the flashdrive. Can you see the flashdrive when you hook up to your computer via USB?

Well, as you learned in this thread, you can connect both to your PC, just not both at the same time.
