RAM Expanded = Error

Added Crucial 256MB SODIMM PC133
Startup appears fine, shows 128 MB
then it freezes with the following error code:

CPU Addr (read)
PC(883f17ea)

this is the reason why I spent the extra 50 bucks on the akai card

I have kingston 128MB ram in my 500 and the Akai ram in my 2500. I have never had a problem with the kingston ram or the Akai ram at all. Did you get ram with the correct specifications?? If so the ram you have may be corrupt. I would contact the seller and arrange for an exchange,..i'm sure you won't have a problem once you exchange it.

It may be Bad stick of RAM, plus the 500 only uses 128 Mb (I guess it can take a 256, but it'll onlt use 128).

Return the ram card u bought.

and get a kingston 128MB card instead.

I have a kingston 128MB card and I wasn't no problem installing it.
