Not enough inputs for tracking?

Ok I just got my MPC 2500 a couple days ago along with a Korg X50 synth. I also have a M-Audio 1814 Interface with 8 1/4" inputs. My korg has 4 outs and my MPC has 2 main outs and 8 assignable outs. I've already run out of inputs on my 1814 by having the 4 outs on the korg,2 main and 2 assignable outs on the mpc connected.. So theres 6 assignable outs left on the 2500 and ive got no where to run em to for tracking out everything individually. Do you guys think I should:

A. Keep this interface and just go through the process of muting and probably switching cables in and out. (pain in the ass)

B. Get a mixer with about 16 trs inputs and run that into a soundcard.

C. Any other thing that u can think of.

get an interface with enough inputs

like what? most interfaces i saw have like 8-10 trs inputs ....i already have somethin with 8 i need somethin with about 16. i was thinkin the mixer would be the beter option.

Get a Motu 828mkII

it looks that only has 8 trs ins also... i dont know anything about adat.

Or a Mackie Onyx 1620 or something...

jeah, get that mackie mixer + optional firewire card..

IMO the best option, but not the cheapest tho..

Unless you're recording a drum kit you probably don't have much of a need for more than a few in's at a time anyway....someone suggested several passes from the MPC while using mutes which is a good idea but I'd have to vote mixer. A decent mixer will give you the ability to add color via the EQ, easy panning, level control, and may offer some dynamic processing options too. That being said, a cheap mixer will probably do nothing more than add noise.....

Thats if you include ADAT and SPDIF....I only know how to use the analog ins. After all the suggestions I think I'm going to go with a mixer.... I see that someone said a cheap mixer would only add noise...I guess cheap means different things to different people....I can afford something in the $400 range....would go up to 500 if it would really be worth it. What do you guys think of the Yamaha MG16/4 or Mackie 1402-VLZ3?,

Yes the M-Audio does have 8 x 8 ADAT Lightpipe I/O plus word clock .... I have no idea how i would link it to another one to utilize that.
