taking drums out of a sample

does anyone know how to take the drums out of a sample with jus the mpc 2500???

depends on what kind of drum and at what fundamental and harmonic frequencies the drums are found.

So, first of all...what do you think is the difference between a "sample" and a "loop sample"?

chop and eq, if u do record chops in 4 bar and sample it in two bars the drums shouldn't be problem or any similar fashion of choppin - but this is what i do in FL studio, but EQ is the key and good chop in 1,2,4 bar chop or more.

Ok, then technically speaking, it was not "another question", right?

Maybe you should clarify what you exactly want to do. "Take out" the drums like only keep the drums, or "take out" like you wanna remove the drums from the sample?

Basically there's no way of cleanly separating them. Like the others said already, you can cut the sample into pieces, or try to eliminate parts using the filters or EQ.

ight i have a marvin gaye sample that has some horns in it but there some drums too, what i wanted to know was how do i take the drums out and keep the horns
