mpk49, reason/fl 7, core 2 duo laptop with 2 gigs ram. I would pick monitors over the mpk49 if I had to.

TT's can go to mpc to sample, mpc main outs can go to asr10 active line in that can act as a psuedo mixer, asr main outs to monitors.

???

1. Yamaha Motif Classic 88-Key
2. Akai MPC 4000
3. Roland VS2480

The Reason!

1. The Motif classic converters sound darker than the ES series. The more keys, the more flexibility.
2. More storage for sampling. Since I don't have extra sound modules or software, I'll be more flexible with a 4000. Plus I can create my own multi-samples. I can sample form the TV, radio, or whatever to get started.
3. It's a all in one unit; line mixer, preamps internal effects, disc burner and a hard drive. I used to have a Roland VS840 and the converters sound pretty good for what it does. I won't have to worry about changing converters, latency problems or learning how to set up the computer. Just get up and go!

    - American Audio HTD 4.5 Super High Torque Direct-Drive Turntable

That's all I need! :D
