saving recordable track mutes setting

did you guys managed to save the setting for "track mutes events: on or off" ?
it always comes back to "on" when i restart.

Question on track mutes, didnt want to start a new thread...

Is there a way to hit mute on the Main screen with overdub on and have it record as an event? Im having a hard time with the track mute screen ... it's not very intuitive for me. I'm probably just an idiot.

same as me. there is a bug there.
anyway, this new place for "track mute event" is not very good really. better than the previous F5 + Mute. but still, not very good.

it is a setting to be changed once and for all, not sure why it should be "in your face" all the time in the mute screen.

don't take it wrong guys, i am not dissing JJ, just trying to make the thing better.

"Use events: yes/no" should be saved in memory?
i dont mind if it would be, so just post it under bug report.

another thing> i'm not sure but maybe its "in your face"
because many many ppl had problems with it

the setting used to be saved in prior os version. (and a settign which you can't save is not very usefull).

and people had problem with it because it was put in a really bad place (F5 + window) which disturbed the interface consistency. hence lots people not finding it.

still there must be a better place for it.

i had more though + tests about the track mute "use events: on/off" (aside from the fact that one cannot currently save it).

at the moment it affects the playback. not the recording. so one might turn it off and track mutes won't be played back, but will still be recorded. with the possibility of recording lots of track mutes by mistake, (if one go to TM while in REC) and not hearing hence not realizing it.

i reckon it would be usefull if it also prevented the recording. but it does not (and i reckon that for some reason it is a difficult one, otherwise it would already be like that)

in the end, i cannot find any use for this setting. i reckon it could be removed and that would not really change anything. (not removing Track Mutes, only removing the "use events: on/off")

also removing it would free a tiny bit of code space.

any thought on that ? especially if you have a use for "use events: on/off", please let me know, i would be interested.
