Help problem with mpc 2000xl

i am using an mpc 2000 xl and nuendo i am trying to track my song it always goes to the left speaker i have 2 cords going from the mpc to the computer using an adaptor i see the little bar next to the name of the instrument high on the left side and on the right side i doesnt move could it be somehting wrong with nuendo? i also put 1 cord in to the right out in the stereo and it wont record anything and when i put it on the left out is records is my mpc broken or is it my computer?

If you check both outs of the mpc with the same cable, one at a time and only one of the outs will have signal output and the other won't, then it looks like your mpc needs checking.Maybe it's just a loose connection insied the machine close to the jack socket?
Just try to double check the outs of mp, before you open it up.

could be bad cables or the adapter your using. Ide advise trying some new cables and or just trouble shoot it. Connect it to something else and see what your getting. Once or twice before ive tracked out a beat and it only recorded to the left side. I dont know if it was cause i was drinking or if it was just a connection mistake. Sometimes its the smallest mistake.. hope it works out ...

maybe all your samples are mono L?

is there a way that i can check on the mpc if its set to both outs ? and how would i be able to fiz this if there isnt?

1. Go into sample mode by pressing shift and sample at the same time
Look where it says mono left, you can switch it to mono right and then to stereo.
2. troubleshoot yours and if you think its them buy new stereo 1/2 inch cables.
3. plug into diffrent components(stereo,ect) to see does the trouble lye within the Mpc or in your computer sound card hardware or software options.
