do you see EDIT in the lower left? if so go to that and you'll see DISCARD, SILENT, DELETE, EXTRACT, etc.

yess i see edit and all this, Ive got an mpc1000 and I saw some tutorials where the guy pressed on SLICE or CHOP witch was next to edit.. witch I dont have...

I have an mpc 1000, Yeah i see edit but in the videos I saw you can see slice or chop right next to edit!!!

Its possible that the guy in the video you are speaking of had a different OS than you. I'm just guessing of course.
