Why was the 2000XL discontinued...?

I see that barely any sites are selling MPC2000XL-MCD's now. They all say its discontinued. This makes me think that finding replacement parts is going to get hard. So my question would be what replacement parts should I go out and buy now just in case. And where should I get these parts. Links would be appreciated. Thanx ppl.

It's like trying to guess what is going to happen with your machine in the future and to be prepeared for every problem...Well, if you have enough money, go and get one replacement screen, 8 outputs board, effects board, pad sensors etc etc...there's too many of them I think.
And hey, think positive ! Why should anything go wrong with your mpc, if you take good care of it, it should work with no problems.

because the 2500 is a newer and better replacement. 8 outs and effects come standard, plus the additional 2 midi outs.
