Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

on my mpc 2000xl, wen u load ur samples on to the pads, can u set them up so that wen u hit pad 1 the sample will play and then cut itself off as soon as u hit the next sample pad. instead of havin to hold dem down, im sure ive seen this on a few tutorials. thx

You can assign a sound to a pad and have the sound stopped when you press the same pad again:

Program > Params > change POLY to MONO

When you press the Open Screen button on POLY or MONO on that screen you can assign two other pads of which the assigned sound will be stopped if you press the pad you're assigning.

just tried it and dat was exactly wot i was lookin 4. thx .the only problem im havin is wen i play my trk in song mode the sample i used dat method on will override into the next sequence in the song playback.

Learn how to manually limit the length of samples in step edit, seq.

Have it cut off when you say so and not depend on automatic cutoff techniques.
