I am having trouble playing my Numark TTUSB turntable into my mpc 1000. I have tried converting the digital out (L/R) of the turntable into analog which resulted in a lot of feedback and also going digital in which I don't really get because the turntable has digital out stereo (red, and white) and the mpc 1000 has mono in.

PLEASE HELP.

are u sending the turntable signal thru a mixer. Thats what I do. In your case, make sure the mixer has digital inputs, and then just run a stereo or mono line to the record in on the mpc.

Why do you assume the L/R outputs on the TT are digital? Does it actually say that on the device or any of the documentation that comes with it?

If it's got separate L/R connections that's a surefire sign that it's not digital since digital s/pdif encodes separate channels on a single transmission line -- because it's digital, not "mono".

You need to read the manuals that come with your stuff. You also might also want to lookup some more general stuff on analog and digital connections in audio production.
