Multi-Tracking on the MPC

I Have a Planet Phatt sound module hooked into one of my midi outs on the back of mpc2000xl.

How can I have different sound programs from the Planet Phatt, play on each unique track on my MPC. Seems like as soon as I record say a trumpet sound frm my module, then go to next track on the mpc and change the sound on the Planet Phatt, the trumpet goes away and it's a new sound.

How can I maintain different sounds with different tracks? This question applies to my Planet Phatt as well as my Korg TR keyboard, I can only do one sound at a time.

Please help.

It has something to do with Program Change and with possibilities of your sound module. If it's multitimbral (I assume it is), then you can definitely use different sounds at a time.
