how can i test an mpc2000xl

just got my first mpc, secondhand from ebay, so not sure if its in good working condition....can anyone help this newbie with a fools guide of how to test an mpc 2000 xl for the first time?

That's right, reading the manual is the first step in checking if everything works fine in your new machine. If you can make every described in the man. move, than you have nothing to worry about.
