just got mine ummm problem with the hard drive help please

i just got it today i opened it up hardrive is in there its just not showing up on the load screen its says hard disk its says i have 0.00mb free?
do i have to format it or what the hell lol then i upgraded to jj os and still the same thing even from the pc it only sees the CF card help please?

Well, I don't know anything about who installed your HD but yes you do need to format it before the first use or you won't see anything capacity-wise.

press window when 'hard disk' is highlighted.
