save programs to cd?

Can you save programs, sequences, or songs to a cd so you can load up youre session where you left off?

I think you can still only write audio to CDs.

Why not take a CF card?

I think you can save programs to CD. Not sure, to be honest.

I can can only save audio samples to the cd. so i have ben using the cf card. I cant aford the hard drive yet, i went for broke when i purchased the mpc. So I can only work on one or two simple beats at a time or my memory fills up. It would be nice to save the sessions to cd. I guess ill just start saving for the hard drive.

You can save to cd or dvd you would just need to burn it as data and then that cd/dvd will be like a virtual drive and you will be able to drag and drop your files on to whichever computer your using, then drag and drop into your mpc via usb....

only negative to this is the fact that any changes or updates you make, you will then need to RE-burn another cd/dvd with the changes and throw out the old cd/dvd and keep the updated one...

this can get pretty costly in the long run but it myte be a crutch until you get your hands on a CF card with a gig or 2....would be 100000 times easier with a CF card or hard drive but like I said as a temp that would get u by...

seems like until you can afford to get either the hard drive or the cf card you could also use the usb connectivity to save stuff onto your computer you can save whatever is on your current cf card to the computer [/quote]

You can't use the CD/DVD like that yet because the OS dosen't support it! Just to educate you a little further, you can use one disk for multiple things just be sure to keep it open, if you don't close the disk than you can continue to burn things to it!!!
