Now that 12 is out.....can we get an OS update that doesn't create more problems than the previous one?

Would you rather he not fix things?
I (and I bet most people) like that he's constantly updating it, bugs or not. The collective group of us providing feedback will be able to catch things faster that he can't alone.
Is it tough sometimes? Sure. But be realistic -- he's one person, not a company with a ton of resources.
BTW - it'd actually be helpful to see what bugs you (obviously) found. What's up w/ 12?

Well, I would much rather have a stable OS that works than to keep updating my MPC every week for several bug fixes. This is getting crazy...which is why I am back to the Akai OS. When I want to play around and find hidden Easter eggs, I will fire the JJ OS back up.
So in direct response to you and your collective group here...I would think you would much rather make music then keep writing bug reports. But of course you are free to continue doing what ever you like.
BTW-I am not interested in providing you a bug report. There are plenty of bug threads for you to climax to

i think jj is responding all the features requests and that it's hard to balance new features and stability at the same time. maybe people should chill with all their new big requests (i've heard 3rd party plugins somewhere) and just focus on reporting bugs.

"i've heard 3rd party plugins somewhere"
Just a crazy idea! not something i give a sh!t about really, I deff want a stable OS before anything!
oh maybe just resampling and diff bit rates (8bit & 12bit).
Peace!

^^^ Me too. But wouldn't you have to change the hardware to old converters that are no longer produced to really do that?

i read somewhere on here that the internal components were capable but prob only 8bit not 12bit (that would prob need diff components).
so lets hope we can get something like that!

I think it's great , i don't mind updating at all.
The jj os is going somewhere and the users play a part in the evolution of the os , the akai os is still stuck at the same version with the MTC sync bug after 8 months.
The only things that annoy me is that there isn't a proper english manual (i'm getting tired of those "propellant actuated device's" and other translations that keep you wondering for hours if it was some kind of scientific formula or an actual feature on the mpc ) and i don't like the "copy and past" button in the save screen , saving with the akai os was faster.
And as far as stability , no problems so far and none of those unexplainable non-reproducable akai bugs that seemed to come and go.

Be realistic?? You think JJ is one guy sitting at a MPC all day fixing bugs and programming? Come on....

just do it as an edit screen like on the mpc2000xl. its called resample on the 2000xl....not resample in normal sense, but sample to a lower bit.........
