i realizes this is a question thats been asked many times, but the search on the forums seems to give you mostly random results and very little in the way of what your looking for most the time, im wondering how many programs you can use in a sequence simultaniously?

(oh god please dont let the answer be 1)

depends on the size of the samples you load.

a small kit of say kick hat snare clap open wouldnt take up no space (memory) at all therefore you could run loads of small kits / programs like this.
however if you have whacking great samples of speech etc then you will be limited.

you can check how much free mem in the LOAD screen

i think it's 24 programs that you can have total (jj os is 99) now. but either way you're limited to 32 on the polyphony... as in, if you have all the programs set to not mute each other, only a total of 32 samples can be triggered at any given time.

my real concern here is let say i have 5 loops ive chopshoped and made into not patched phrase but the other one (?) where each transient/hit in the loops are all laied out on the pads, so it makes each of these chopped loops into its own program, can i mess with one and build one layer of drums out of that loop, then jump onto the next chopped loop and lay down another layer in that same sequence? assuming that ive chopped each of these loops into say 64 pieces so each program has full padbanks in use?

i hope that has some semblence of sence
