Hmmm, it's just a question.

Hmmmm, now that I think about it I'm not sure that I've ever typed "RTFM" in any of my responses, but I have certainly told people to actually read their manuals enough times to understand how and why the acronym came into widespread use.

I agree with TBonus76... but I also wonder why Putter thinks this thread is so great. It's wonderful that somebody fixed their prob, BUT since the fix-it team all went off thread to sus it out what was basically an OT problem, we never got a detailed description of what the problem was, never mind the solution to it, so if somebody else is having the same issue the whole thing is pretty useless to them.

In fact the last thing we find out about the problem is that it has nothing to do with the forum subject (MPC/JJOS) but is in fact some kind of config or connection problem with an external midi device or system. The person also claimed that they didn't understand their external devices/system and that they tried to learn about it by coming on "here" to ask questions on this subject but was treated in an manner described as "rude".

Some people have different ideas of what they think is "rude", but regardless if "here" means the JJ OS forum I could kinda see why they didn't get too far. On the other hand, if "here" means "MPC Studio Environments" -- which this is not -- then that's really too bad because external devices/systems are a perfectly on-topic question on that section of the forum.

Well, we got him working and after sleeping on it, I woke up and the first thing that came into my head was an even better, and more suitable solution.

Last I heard, waldog was tearin' up some tunes like there was no tomorrow ;)

I may just make a short video and post it up for anyone else who has similar problems.
