I just purchased a MPC 2000xl studio plus, zip drive, SMPTE, 8-outs, and FX card, and a sampleverb fx processor(don't know what this is). It's coming wit the power cord, instructions and original packaging. It was $1199.

I'll making my residence here...moving from mpc 1000 forum!

Anyone wanna buy an MPC 1000?

It was a pretty quick switch, but I found a totally maxxed out 2000xl on E-bay. Everything you can get to upgrade that machine. I decided to make the switch not because I am unhappy with the 1000 per se, but I am not happy at all being stuck to my PC. There are some pretty basic features that the 1000 lacks that I use all the time. I just want one main machine to write my shit!

And Maybe I'll get an ASR 10 as well in the future!

Yo, dude just refunded my payment, said something about an unconfirmed address. WTF is that about? Maybe I might lose this deal!

dont know about unconfirmedaddress butfor that price I think youre better off just waiting for another good deal.... You can probably get a deal for like 1100 everything included. I wish I had the effects board and the spdif in.. Shit the digital in alone would be perfect. I still use my computer to edit, eq and compress my sounds that cuz my mpc dont have effects but even if it did I would still use my computer. soundforge and mpc is what I use right now. I sample to the mpc then dump that shit on pc and make my loopin, cuttin, on there. I use the mpc to cut up breaks but its way faster with soundforge. I like the lo pass filter on mpc though... Really good to make baselines out of melodies. I justr wish I had like a mixer or some shit so that I dont have to turn my computer on everytime i use my mpc( I use the soundcard mixer to route the monitor speakers. Lol thats how cheap my set up is right now, just turntable set with a vestax mixer a pc and a mpc. I juststarted diggin aswell. Feels so great finding samples out of record but it woul not bother me to sample off of mp3s.

It's not going to happen after all. The dude had problems getting credit card confirmation because I have a Canadian credit card and paypal doesn't do confirmations for those. Anyways, I used the opportunity to back out due to buyer's remorse. I think I'm going to take my time on this one. I still want a 4k. Maybe I'll wait on the right deal for that! Thanks for the feedback.

The thing is that I have a maximum of 7 days to get that exact same deal. I explained situation to dude and he was very understanding. It's back up on E-bay now. I also just had a PM from someone wanting to sell their fully blown studio xl too. So if I decide it's the right decision after all. i don't think I'm going to have a problem finding another fully blown XL. But I really want a 4000 though. I got such a hard on for it!

Don't leap to the 4000 without trying it out first, it's really different from the 2000/xl/1000, it's not for everyone...
