I have been trying for a few days now to use VST's in cubase to record into my MPC 1000. I'm not sure if I don't have the cables setup correctly or what but I cannot seem to get this going. I am getting a response in cubase when I hit the pads of my MPC but no sound coming through.

What I really wanted to do was use my midi controller to play whatever VST I loaded up and record it into my MPC. I am not sure what I have done wrong here but I am hoping there is something u can maybe help me with. I need a detailed step by step breakdown of how to set this up correctly. Can u help me out King?

There's not very much you can make wrong,

-Connect the midi cables : In (MPC) - Out (PC); Out (MPC) - In (PC)
-Open cubase
-Select a midi track in cubase, select the midi port "input" in the track and select as midi output the VSTi o whatever you want to use.

It should work.
