Ram problems

just bought some new ram 144 pin pc 133 256 mb. i insert the ram into the mpc it started doing this memory check. then it gave me some kind of memory message. is it anything i can do. i hope i don't have to send the **** back i waited a week for my **** to get here

Pass 1 (8c000000) The problem was found in memory please check the memory system halt. i re inserted it like 3 times.
