gettin an 8 outs board, or getting the eb16 effects board? im thinkin the 8 outs because you can just hook up EQ's etc to your mixer right? does anyone both in there MP?

yup, 8 outs is more practical. The EB16's effects sound like crap anyway. Unless you're doing live and want to edit your sound quickly, get the 8 outs first.

they sound pretty good to me and may be useful

however it is better to get 8 outs first if you are about to decide what to buy at the beginning

my choice was simple,as effects board was already in my unit when I bought it

Im in the same boat kind of. Only thing is i have an mbox1 so i dont have a sound card that supports 8 ins. Can any one point out where the thread is about if the fx are worth it or not. Ive been strongly swaying back and forth. Not sure if its gunna be worth all the money.

(i did search for the thread and had no luck) thanks

Your searching needs to be improved.

I got the eb because I didn't have no audio interface with 8 inputs. Right now I'd rather invest in a good synth/workstation than such an audio interface. Found an 8 out board pretty cheap though so I got that coming in soon.

If you have an audio interface with 8 inputs and some decent fx plugins I'd get the 8 out board.

The eb board isn't crap like some people say. It's quite usefull but you can't expect that it'll be sufficient for all your fx needs.

Mine came with the 8 outs, SMPTE/ DIG I/O, and 32 Mb RAM already installed.
I then got the EB-16 just in case I ever go Live with my 2KXL.
So to be fully Loaded all I would need is the 8Mb Flash RAM, but I don't think I'll get that (maybe if they get cheap enough).
