I caught this today so I thought I should post this for those still looking for MPC units...
Musician's Friend is selling brand new MPC-2000XL MCD samplers for $999.99 and blem units for $764.99
Some will say this is a bargin and some will say it's still a rip-off. That decision is totally up to you...... I see the situation like this.....
Units on Ebay and Craigslist are going for no less than $700.00 because of the tax season. Most of the MPC on those sites don't have a MCD installed in them either.....
The cost of the installation of a MCD into a 2000XL would be around the same price Musician's Friend are selling them at now(unless you are a DIY kind of person)... For a stack you can have a brand new, unused unit /w the MCD installed for the same price as a 1000 unit without the pad issues.....
Memory for the unit is cheap these days, so the only thing you'll have to find(if you want it)is the IB-M208P 8 Analog/Digital Output Board and the EB-16 Sampleverb Effects board.......
The choice is up to you..........
