quality of MPC500 A/D convertors?

OK - what do you all think of the quality of the MPC500's A/D convertors? I tried recording the same source into the MPC4000 and into the MPC500 and was blown away by just how good the quality was of the sample loaded into the 500. MAYBE there was slightly more depth on the sound recorded on my MPC4000 - but not necessarily an improvement that was worth 3 times the financial cost.

As an experiment, am planning to do a full track on the MPC500.

Anyway - does the MPC500 use the same A/D convertors as the MPC1000, MPC2500 and the MPC4000?

well the 500 has an 16bit 44100hz sound engine. and your 4000 has 96hz I think. But I think it shares the same engine as the MPC1000. But I'm not shure ...
