Hi guys!

Format your harddisc after installing the os 1.22

Don´t use more than 150 folders for each of your main Root-folders.

Don´t use special signs in your beat names. I used to write Beat-A, Beat-B, Beat-C.. for different versions. Now I write BEATa, BEATb, BEATc, and the MPC doesn´t freeze anymore when saving.

If you wan´t to be shure not to loose your work, save to memory card first.

Hope this helps.

peace, Philipp

150 folders in total, or 150 subfolders each?

You should think any character that the MPC allows to use via the pads should be fine, but who knows...

Not more than 150 in root AND not more than 150 subfolders.
Also don´t make your beat names longer than 8 signs

Yo Stilo

Actually, I just tested the special signs-thing.

I wasn´t right before, Akai said me the following:

You can make 150 folders in Root.

If the names aren´t longer than 8 signs you can make 250 folders in Root.

Every folder can have 300 subfolders or 500 datas.

I need to reorganize my whole HD at the weekend when I have more time. Just want to make music when I come home from work.

That is info from Akai?

Seems pretty random numbers to me...but in fact I wonder why it isn't told anywhere else if they know it.

what'z up fellas?
I've got a problem with my savings.. When I save Entire memory and if my project got quite few programs,It doesn't save propperly..
(same with autoload)
So if I'd like to load my project back,i always need to load all the progarams separately, also when I load them MPC offering me to replace them,so that means programs are loaded, but some of them with no samples.. or what?? Don't know what's that.. But everything iz fine if the project consist of 1-2 or 3 programs only..
is that all about a quantity of samples downloaded to a separete programs or what?
