Need Help! Recording From MPC 2000xl Into Logic Express

Alright here is my issue.. I'm trying to record from my MPC 2000XL and Korg X50 into Logic Express. I'm not using or want to use it for it's sounds but just to record like you would with Cool Edit Pro. Here is my setup, I'm hoping I don't have to buy any more things at least not too expensive for this to work...

MPC 2000XL
Korg X50 Keyboard
Alesis USB Mixer
Apple iMac G5
Logic Express

I have the MPC going into the Alesis USB Mixer. The Korg X50 Keyboard going to the Alesis USB Mixer. Korg X50 & MPC going thru midi to eachother. Alesis USB Mixer going to the iMac thru USB.

So...what exactly happens when you attempt to record?

I'm just not getting it to show up in Logic that it's recording and I try to play it back even though nothing shows up on the screen like there would be when you record with the levels and such. Is there an option I need to turn on or change? I just hope for the time being that I don't have to buy anything extra in order to record with what I have. Unless it's a setting on the apple..? But I have it set up recognizing the usb mixer.

Is there something else I have to buy or a setting I have to change on there?
