american in australia

hi, new to mpc's just wondering i bought a 2000xl off the american ebay (so its an american mpc) , i live in australia, will the mpc work over here or will i have to buy a power transformer?

i think youll need some kind of adapter/inverter/currentchanger. american plugs run 15 A/125 V. wikipedia shows australia using 10 A/240 V.

The MPC2000XL can use any voltage between 100 and 240 volts.
No adapter needed, just get the right power cord to connect to your local outlets or change the plug and your good to go.

ya now that i look the 1k and 2kxl both say 100-240v on the back. pilchard got that international power figured out.

the real question is do australian toilets really flush backwards?

I didn't do 3 years at electrician school for nothing

Now plumbing and toilets..... I can leave well alone

What about the frequency? For expample, here in italy we have got an electric frequency of 50, the mpc shows 50/60hz. It's the same of the volt?

The Mpc2000XL will take 50 or 60 Hz
Same for the Mpc1000 and the classic 2000

I think that below the equator the water in the toilet, and sinks does go down counter-clockwise since, in essence, everything below the the equator is "upside down". Damn, school is all-right! one.
