Yes thats a way of going about it. You could also resample(128mb required to do a full length song) the song and turn it into a .wav file.

Why havent u just sat down and tried it for yourself. Its nothing wrong wit Trial and Error. Its actually better than asking us what will happen. Especially when u have the equipment right there. So try it already.

bear in mind: using a mic in may cause problems because the signal usually gets amplified on a mic in. try to use a line in if possible.
