Filter Question

I Need to know how the Filters in the MP work:
if i use the lopwpassfilter ..is Cutoff 25 = 250 Hz ?
or cutoff 100 = 1000hz ?

or how do tranlate the cents in hz ?

umm...percent maybe?

i usually don't think mathematically like that, i just ear-ball it using the HI and LOW setting in qlink

set hi, move qlink while playing sample and hear if it resonates at the right freq, if not push the hi value down/up until it's right...same with the low.

You will find that very few filters in digital devices like the MPC dial into freq as expected.
If you are used to using filters or EQ's you will quickly notice.
You are going to have to just listen until it sounds right.
You may want to use a 150hz filter but to get the sound you are after the screen might say 90hz, so it's more about what you hear than what you see on the display.
Only use the display to choose your filter type.
