Sync with Cubase

Whatup...

Got a Q.

What i wanna do is sync with Cubase. I got a mpc 2000xl. They told me I need to get a USB Midi Interface. I'm running Cubase on my laptop. So that would be enough to sync between the mpc and Cubase right? But I also got a Korg X5D syntheziser. wich is midi connected to the MPC. But, does that mean it also will sent the data to cubase? Cuz there is also a midi trough connection on board of the synth? what is that for? You guys help me out. What do i need to do?

you need a midi interface!..then in cubase transport>sync midi clock 25fps then do the same with your mpc...also use the search function theres a couple videos on how to sync to cubase..or check futureproducers.com
