BAD SOUND QUALITY WITH T.TABLE, MIXER AND MPC

Ok so im trying to sample off my numbark tt 200 with my dxm06 series 24-bit digital mixer,into my mpc.....problem is it has a really bad sound to it,some nasty hissing......my mixer is set up this way, record out to record in on my mpc...then my mpc to my lexicon omega interface..then my interface to my monitor...i have it on ch 1 as all my setting are set up to match my hardware....i can sample and record without a problem the problem is the quality,is it something im doing wrong on the set up as far as the mpc goes or my settings on the table?

na...the guy at guitar center said it dont need to be it's not that old..even he dont know what my problem is

I'd expect them to be the first ones not to understand a technical problem!

BTW It could be some type of ground loop issue. Here's a recent thread dealing with this problem that may or may not be of use in your situation:

This one rings a bell to me. The MPC records only 16 Bit. Make sure the Digital Ins/Outs are matching if you use those for recording.

Yeah, didn't somebody post something recently about incompatible s/pdif transmission modes with the MPC digital I/O and that same mixer?

Is there anyway i can record both at 24 bits or both at 16 bits?or there's no possible way?..because my mixer is at 24 and my mpc at 16 bits..This sux there's so many reasons i can be getting these sounds im just gonna have 2 keep looking..if i can't figure it out,what if i send my sample to my computer and record it at 16 bits then send it to my mpc?would that change the sound of my sample as far as the quality or even the old school crackle sound which i luv?

I had a similar issue...

- Check that you don't have a light with a dimmer near your setup
- Make sure that your audio cables don't run near or parallel with power cables/sockets
- Use good quality audio cables
- Make sure your decks and such are grounded.

My problem was that my socket wasn't grounded. I noticed it when recording with my laptop. It had a weird hiss on the signal and when I unplugged it it was fine.

I want to cut off as much sound as i can...i just grounded my table and i moved my cables...it def helped thx.....anything else i could do?or is it up 2 me now as far as the equing and mixing goes to cut off the rest of the hissing?

I connect my table to my djmixer trough my phone outlets,then my recording outs on my dj mixer to my record in on my mpc then to my interface
