MPC3000 vs 2000xl

Hi. I am a hip-hop producer/songwriter. I see the MPC 3000 in so many studio pics, more than the 2000xl. Why is this? Whats so much better about it for a studio compared to the 2000xl?

Any answers would be much appreciated.

people might tell you different... but its mostly because people get accustomed to a certain machine and don't want to change... most people taht own big time studios have been around for a while before the 2kxl even came out... so they have been using the 3k since they started and dont want a change.. but it also offers a few things that the 2kxl doesnt i believe..

I've used both and I'd say I like the 3ooo more because while everything on the machine is bigger, there's more room for me to see everything and it's easier for me to get things done on it.
I also love the fact that there's dedicated buttons on it for certain things instead of going through the mode button feature of newer MPCs.

What about the 4000? Is it better than the 2000/3000?

yea that and because ppl ride on the 3000's phallus

turth be told, no one machine is better than another
the thing to worry about is how a machine works for you and your workflow and imagination
if you can, try to fool around with different machines to see how they feel to you as all MPCs don't feel the same when you're working on them
and by feel I don't mean the way stuff comes out of them
I mean when you're actually working on them and how you get around to the functions on them
