sequencing the mpc from a pc?

can anyone help me? is there anyone who is using there pc to sequence their mpc?
i dont mean how to record into the pc from the mpc. i read on another site that its possible to link the mpc and pc by midi, so you can input drum beats in logic/cubase instead of the mpc's sequencer.

does anyone know how this is set up. im currently using an audiophile 2496 card.

in buying an mpc if your just gonna sequence in a computer? I don't get it.

set your computer as the master .. set the mpc as the slave.. if you want to do sample dumps, have you midi set in the handshake method.. midi out of computer to midi in on mpc.. midi out on mpc to midi in on computer.. under neath the tracks dialogue in the mpc is the drums dialogue.. set that to midi, set which channel you're ouputting from ( well it shouldn't really matter cause the mpc by default is set on omni but if you want to get specific).. hook up audio cables from the mpc to the computer and you should be set.. trial and error dawg.. everyone has their own little way of doing things.. once you get the frustration out of the way, it's pretty intuitive
