the sample/CHOP game is crazy i'm startin to barely discover

been makin beatz for a year or so now.. main I come from teh school of records and an mpc...

in the school i'm at you finda dope record, you sample that loop add ya drums and call it a day..

result: you think you jus made a banger!!

but i'm seein more and more as i get into i'm only scratchin the surface... i..e.. the world of choppin is a WHOLE nother leve, am i right?

got d*m fo reals... i mean d8M it take forever but more then worht it, it seems.. i mean am i doing it wrong? get my sample and extra the chops outta that to another sample, or is it a better way to do it?



aight but i digress...it took mea minute to do this cuz i aint' want to give up my gem but i realize it ain't matter like that.. cuz the well hopefuly the insight and knowledge yall provide is a better payoff to me then keep it secret NOT usin it and not doing anything worthwile wit the gem.. plus the fact that it seems everybody and they mama done got this one anyway.. at least on the net but not round my way...

but check it out i got the original song in this file PLUS a beat some cat made off it.. and doing my research i know my orgina song(the gem) is what he sampled.. but for his main part of the beat.. i'm not catchin where he pulled that form in the gem(original song)

can any of yall break it down for me? i'm hopin in yall doing that it gon give a school of sorts on the chop game?

so in basics where the blood clot in the song is he getting his sample from?

the part that starts at 0:24 thru 0:36 on dudes song? where is he gettin that from in the original song? i done studied this for 2 weeks straight tryin to listen and listen and i can't catch it... all i can break down is that, thats the loop but i can' find where in the joint he is gettin this loop from?

aight well i apreciate any and all help yall can provide me with... and i hope this helps me to understand and break down the chop game a bit better in my head and clarify the way i think it goes down..

ay main i don't be on the internet enough to catch feelings off possibly being dissed or slighted on posts and all that, basically on account i don't have internet access at home...

as far as my original question and all that... I KNEW I was wack..but i know i wasnt' that wack... feel me..

but here i was thinkin its a crazy chop and whatnot...but nah son yall not gon believe it.. that dudes joint is from another ENTIRELY different song... so all he did was chop the vocals out of the floyd thing and drop it on another sample..

and here i thought he did some kind of magic cuz i was like i'm not hearin where in the song he is gettin his sample from.. WELL its cuz it wasn't in the song...

either way it was a good learnin experience for me..

and the REASON i know is because i done picked up the record by accident on where he got his sample and BELIEVE that it dont' say King Floyd on the cover..
