Mpc1000 as midi controller with Reason

I just want to use the pads on the mpc to bang out drums in reason, is this possible? how do I hook it up?

then you probably shouldn't be buying an MPC, cause that would be a waste of money

get an MPD16 or MPD24

i don't think he asked for advice on what product to buy. i think he asked how too hook the MPC that he already has to reason.

there are a few that explain this, i beleive.

...especially since the pads are the 1000's weakest point...
