I was curious has anyone added on outputs, fx, etc. themselves and is it easy? Cuz some say go to a MPC tech, but I'd like to know how easy it is doing it for yourself
If you can put new components inside your computer, you can do it.I did the ram upgrade on mine, and the FX board upgrade on a friends before and it's really just a matter of popping it open and sticking it in the hole that it fits, while not pulling anything out in the process. Just make sure you read the manual on where its supposed to go before you do it.
Also you gotta be careful about static electricity. Make sure you ground yourself (touch something metal that is grounded) or use an anti static wristband (esp if you're in a low humidity environment).
radio shack .. 1 or 2 bones. It has to be attached to something that is grounded while you work on the MPC .. .just to be safe. I've never had a problem but I'm in 100% always humidity New Orleans It stops any cold and warm dry air from causing that much static electricity.
Thanks son! Jim Morrison and the Doors are the shitt, Kanye West best sample is a Doors joint, but yeah I got the MPC and have stuff too add to it and I don't wanna mess it up before anything, I rhyme and needed beats and I said why not be a producer, and get some hook ups....gonna see whats up...peace
