Has anyone come across this problem?

When playing back samples via the MPC1000 there is a click at the end of the sample but when loading the sample into an audio editor (i.e Audacity) there is no trace of a click?

I've just downloaded a couple of sample packs and a lot (not all) have this problem.

I know I can trim the samples on the MPC but I don't always have time to sit down with it and tend to edit a lot of audio on my laptop while on the go.

Thanks in advance.

samples should always end on -inf db. if you look at the samples in an audio editor on your pc, the wave will appear as a series of peaks and valleys crisscossing a straight horizontal line down the middle. sound waves are series of compressed and rareified air, this horizontal line represents a lack of audio pressure. make sure that the waves both begin and end on this straight line. you wont always hear the click if you dont do this, but on samples with a great deal of bass frequencies, you will almost always hear a click where the sample starts or ends if its not at - inf db.

zoom in almost all the way on the end point of your sample.

make sure that the end is not right in the middle of the wave form. Find a gap.

easy easy.

good luck!

The samples have all been trimmed correctly it just seems to be when playing back through the MPC that this click appears :?

I think I'll need to try them on my mate's MPC and check that it's not a problem with my MPC itself.
