Edit: on the Kalimba though, it seems on pad 10 (sample Hugh_Trj) that I get a bit of static when I hit the pad, but the noise is non-existant in TRIM mode, and when I assign a different sample to that pad there is also no noise.

Does anyone else hear this? Not complaing I'm just trying to make sure nothing wrong with my MPC

Ummm, also. When I hit the pads they play the samples just fine, but when I try and record them to the sequence, the sequence only plays back like one of the pads all the others are just silent... anyone else having this problem?

I re-made the same program from within the MPC and it works fine, but the one in that upload seems to be bugged out. Did you make it with Bluebox by chance, cause I think Bluebox might have F'd something up - the samples are dope though, thanks

Shittttttt. You're right. I've had this problem before and I don't know where it comes from. I'll fix it and post back. I'll check out the noise you're hearing while I'm there.

OK, I've uploaded a new, working version of the Kalimba Program (no more record bug). If you downloaded it before reading this post, I suggest re-downloading.

thedvs01 - that noise you hear on "Hugh_Trj.wav" does seem to be part of the sample to me. The Kalimba isn't a perfectly clean instrument (at least not when I play it ), sometimes it buzzes or rattles a little. You can always adjust the start point of the sample a little to minimise it, or delete it and use the next sample up or down but pitched to fill the gap.

i simult-padded the two noisy samples (sample b crackles a little, too), put 2 different samples on pad b01 and b02, pitched them to the correct tune, set envelope to start with a very low value (15) so i only have the attack. then i set the envelope of the original samples to a soft attack, so i don't hear the noise anymor. now i simult-padded them, so they sound clean and not pitched.
