on the mpc:

change the midi channel to whatever your mpc midi out is.(1-16a or 1-16b)

in fl studio:

go to options, make sure allow midi remote or whatever it says is checked

go into the midi options(f10) enable the midi device

hit a pad on the mpc and the midi light should trigger.

give me this info:

whats your hardware setup?

On the MPC do you have the program set to OFF and have it changed from 'DRUM' to MIDI' as well as enabling the midi channel from off to something such as 1A?

why limit yourself to one thing? i use fl as a multitrack recorder and synth. and to mix tracks created with the mpc. you cant really mix with the 1k alone. or at least it would take a lot longer, with less quality.
