Resampling!? is this possible on mpc100?

I was wondering if it was possible to 'resample' a sound that has been 'effected' and make a new sample. I've applied a reverb and delay fx to a sample and now i want to use different effects for another sample. i basically don't want to use just 2 fx and the master fx over everything... is this possible?

Yeah. Record the main out and save it as a new sample. Assign it to a pad.

ok so there's no way of doing it internally in the MPC?

Yeah. Hit record on the MPC. Then select "main out" on the upper left part of the screen. Press record (f6 I think) then press play to start recording the part with the effects. Save it and assign it to a pad. You do all of this on the MPC. Nothing else is needed. Then you can use the effects for something else.

cant beleive most people dont know that, i always do that cus thats the only way i could get my track out, so all my beats are resampled out of the 1k. But when i do the re-sample, i put the db volume and the lowest which i think its -48, so i let it play how ever long the track is gonna be. Then once its done, i then NORMALIZE it. Why do i do it on -48, because i was doing on 0, but then i realized the kicks and snares will get to loud and kinda start sounding either muddy,distorted,sick.

I'll take that into account man thanks.. instead of decreasing the dB, could you just hit the pad softer to create a lower velocity? surely that would work too right?

when resampling, does an analog to digital conversion happen, or is it all done digitally?

unless it's being distorted on the way out when it was recorded.
