I don't know how to sample on the mpc 2000 HELP PLEASE!!

I got my mpc 2000 a couple of weeks ago and since then i've been loadin samples form a cd player into the mpc using the recording input. When i got to trim part i can go zone edit and cut out different sounds from the one inputted first but then i can't assign the cutted sounds to a pad. I'M I DUIN SOMETHIN WRONG HELP PLEASE!!

So basically can anyone tell me the steps of chopping sounds on the MPC 2000 thanks.

People get pissed on here when you ask a question without doing any research...

you should be able to go into program and assign the ssamples to a pad....... but then again i have been on the 1000 for a few months waiting for Canada post to find my f%%%$# 2000XL i had shipped many months ago.

read the manual or search the forums if im wrong

cant wait to have a 2000XL in the studio again so i can give this 1000 back!

Best thing to do mate is to record your sample, go into Trim and cut it down etc, save it to your Zip (I'm assuming you have one) and then load it from your Zip. When loading up the sample it will give you the option to assign the sample to whichever pad you hit. Then you can load it up and assign it whenever

Alternatively, when you're recording a sample and you go to name it, assign the sample to a pad then.

Okay...I'm no help to a fu*kin' newbie who doesn't put forth the effort to find the answer himself. You just jumped straight to asking someone...The answer is on here...You need to look around. This is a database of MPC info, not a fu*kin' help desk.
If your question was something I hadn't seen 1,000 times, I would have answered it. You lazy fu*k...As for me being NO help...Why don't you go take a look at the top of the threads in the MPC 2000/2000XL page....I believe that's my very thorough installation guide...I will help anybody on here that I can, just not lame ass kids who don't even attempt to learn the MPC on their own...
I didn't have this forum when I got my MPC. I learned the thing inside and out by myself...Show some effort....

doesn't this guys MPC have a built-in mic like everyone elses? also, to a_real_mc, after you're done helping only1hitman, i need to know what to do after i have samples loaded. its like the screen shows the picture of the sound, but when i hit the pads its just the same sound over and over again. what the heck? even when i turn it to zone it still just plays the sound over and over again... i think i might just trade my mpc in for fruity loops.

try going to the main screen you're playing the original sample over and over and not your chopped sample.

no actually i do it just took me a little while to figure it out the 2nd guy told me what to do basically so thats why i thanked him its only cause i didnt know exactly what i was looking for i ofund it hard to figure out that is why i asked but people turned it into a big thing but ohh well know i know thanks anyway
