ok well heres my input for what it's worth....
I got the limited edition handy trax in the black version, and it looks slick for sure....built in speaker is plenty loud for use on the go, it's VERY small and light weight which are a great things for portability, but at the same time I can see this to be a downfall for the life of the unit....its plastic so if you don't care for it I can see it getting pretty banged up if you use it on the go alot......although in it's defense it does have a case so that it can be carried like a small briefcase...cool unit no question...
NOW QUALITY....
Which was my main curiosity about these portable units, it does not compete with my standard T.table and dj mixer set up, so it really couldnt per say replace my set up because the handy trax gives a more compressed sound to my wax, a bit on the muddy side....
as far as protability and using the unit on the run - A+
the look of the unit - A+ (this can vary because I think the original looks horrible the limited edition black is the only way to go IMO)
Quality of build - C+ (it's plastic, feels cheap but at the same time Im sure they went with plastic to make it much lighter for portability which was the main intentions for the unit any how)
Sound Quality (speaker) - B+
Sound Quality for actual sampling - C+
So overall, I think it's worth every buck, for around 100 us...I dont think any one could complain about the unit, it is more then perfect for what it iz and what its supposed to do....but as far as Sound quality when using it for ripping ya vinyl it with out a doubt does NOT compete with the sound of a standard table and mixer....
