If I was to switch to JJ would I be able to go back to Akai's operating system i dont know if thats a stupid question or not. Cause im still learning and dont know which one i want to keep.

yup. takes about a minute to install it. it's worth it to try the jj os. if you don't like it, don't buy it.

is it necessary to back-up your internal harddrive before installing a different os? I was under the impression that you needed to re-format the harddrive once you install a new os...then drag your files over.

^^^ no, you don't have to back up the internal hard drive. installing the os only affects the internal (flash rom) memory. all your flash card and hard drive stuff stays on without reformating.

Which basically says, if you are going to use JJ OS, its best to reformat so as to fix the AKAI OS save issues...
